Video Tutorial: How to use the PDF Exporter

This article explains how to access and use the PDF Exporter lens in the AVAIL Desktop.

FAQ: Can I export content as a PDF in AVAIL?

Important Note: The PDF Exporter lens is exclusive to the Palette content view. Follow the steps listed below to learn how to access the export feature or click here to find out more about Palettes.

 
1. Click Palettes on the left menu of the AVAIL Desktop to access the exporter tool.

2. Select the Palette you would like to open, then double click the Palette to open the content view.

3. Once the Palette is opened, the PDF Export lens will be available on the right hand side of the content view.

4. Click the PDF Exporter icon to open the lens as a side panel.

5. Single click any content you would like added to the PDF Exporter panel.

AVAIL will automatically load the content into the export panel after clicking the content one-time

6. Once you have finished adding content to the exporter panel, click Export.

Caution: Closing the PDF Export panel at any time, will refresh the entire lens and remove all content previously added to the Exporter. 

 
7. The PDF Exporter tool allows you to export the page(s) of content as a PDF, PNG or JPG file type.

8. After clicking Export, you will be given the option to name the file. Once you have finished naming the file, click Save to complete the export process.

 Additional Tips:

1. To remove content from the Exporter, right-click the content image and select Remove detail.

2. The PDF Exporter includes the ability to drag and re-position content within the exporter view. 

3. Use the scroll wheel on your mouse to resize content within the export page layout

4. Export multiple pages of content by clicking Add Page next to the Export button at the top of the exporter view panel.
