AVAIL Tags 101

A quick primer on the basics of Tags in AVAIL

In AVAIL, tags are searchable text attached to content.

They consist of two parts: A key and a value:

A tag value is the actual text used for determining search results: A piece of content with the a tag who's value is ".rfa" will show up in the results if a user searches for that term.

Tag keys are used to organize and prioritize tags. Their literal text does not affect search results.

Tags with the same key (but different values) are shown together next to that key:

The default key is "Keyword". If you create a tag via indexing or via the right-click -> Add Tags menu, this is the key it will be assigned.

Tag keys and values can be edited on a per-channel basis from the Tags and Filters Editor.
