How to Generate Thumbnails for .PAT Files

FAQ: How do I get thumbnails for pattern files in AVAIL?

Requirements

• AVAIL Desktop version 4.5.3 or later
• Edit permissions to the Channel

Steps

• Index the PAT files into a Channel
• Select or multi-select PAT files
• Right-click, select Manage Thumbnails > Virtualize Thumbnails

Or, to process an entire channel at once (note, this will virtualize all files in the channel):

• Select the More Options button  in the top right
• Select Manage Thumbnails > Virtualize Thumbnails

Additional Notes

If a .pat file has multiple patterns defined within it, the first pattern in the file will be used as the thumbnail.
