Flagging & Commenting Content

Watch this video to learn how to flag content, leave comments, and manage flagged items within the Avail Desktop.

Video Outline:

1. Identifying Issues in Content

  • When browsing Avail, users may notice content that appears incorrect, outdated, or incomplete.

  • Avail provides a flag and comment system to alert team members and maintain accurate content libraries.

2. How to Flag Content

  • To flag an item:

    1. Single-click the item.

    2. Click the Flag button.

    3. Leave a note describing the issue or feedback.

This creates a visible alert that other team members can review.

3. Reviewing and Managing Flagged Content

  • To view flagged content:

    • Use the Filters option on any channel.

    • Check the box next to “Flagged Content.”

  • Once filtered, single-click the item and open the Comments panel to read notes.

  • The Comments panel can also be accessed via the Thumbnails tool.

4. Addressing and Resolving Flags

  • After content has been updated or corrected, users should close the communication loop by:

    • Removing the flag once the issue is resolved.

    • Leaving an additional comment to confirm the resolution or provide context.

5. Automatic Tagging and Filtering

  • Avail automatically tags all flagged content with a “Needs Attention” tag.

  • This tag can be enabled from the Tags & Filters panel at the bottom of the channel page.

  • Publishers can use this tag to filter results and easily locate flagged items requiring review.
